Financial Sevices Contacts:
FSA (Financial Services Authority)
This is the regulator of all providers of financial
services in the UK. The FSA has a wide range of rule - making,
investigatory and enforcement powers to enable them to meet four
statutory objectives summarised as one overall aim: to promote
efficient, orderly and fair markets and help retail consumers
achieve a fair deal.
FOS (Financial Ombudsman
Service)
The Financial Ombudsman Service is set up by the law as an
independent public body. Their job is to help settle
individual disputes between consumers and businesses providing
financial services - fairly, reasonably, quickly and
informally.
FSCS (Financial Services Compensation
Scheme)
The Financial Services Compensation Scheme is the UK's statutory
fund of last resort for customers of authorised financial firms.
This means that FSCS can pay compensation if a firm is unable,
or likely to be unable, to pay claims against it.

Insurers)
The Association of British Insurers represents the collective
interests of the UK's insurance industry and act as an advocate for
high standards of customer service in the insurance industry.
HMRC (HM Revenue & Customs)
HM Revenue & Customs ensure the correct tax is paid at the
right time, whether this relates to payment of taxes received by
the department or entitlement to benefits paid.
DWP (Department for Work and
Pensions)
