Foresters are delighted to announce their National Partnership with
the charity Leonard Cheshire Disability through sponsorship of
Readability 2009-10
Readability aims
to:
Encourage children to read for pleasure and for purpose, and to
promote literacy.
Create a fundraising partnership with primary schools and to
share funds raised on a 50/50 basis.
To create greater awareness of disability and disability issues
by promoting social responsibility and life skills.
To raise much needed funds for both schools and for Leonard
Cheshire Disability.
About Readability:
Schools will be provided with a free Readability Activity book
for each child and the school will be asked to encourage pupils and
their parents to take part.
Reading activities follow the National Curriculum and pupils
will be asked to complete fun reading activities, creative
story telling and imaginative word games and puzzles.
Children choose from a selection of reading activities, and then
seek sponsorship with the permission of their parents or carers,
for each activity completed - simple!
