Children's Miracle Network Launches 'Drop The Drink'
Campaign
The 'Drop The Drink' Campaign is
supported by Foresters but organised through Children's Miracle
Network.
The campaign encourages people to give up drinking
alcohol for the month of January and at the same time raise money
for specialist children's hospitals across the
UK.
According to figures from the Institute of Alcohol Studies, in
December Britons will drink 41% more alcohol during the festive
season than the annual monthly average - the highest of any
developed country - and on New Year's Eve, 180 million pints of
beer* are expected to be consumed! So if you are looking to kick
start the New Year, why not stop drinking alcohol for January?
83% of individuals start off the
year with New Year's resolutions - but only 1 in 10 will succeed.
So raising money for a great cause such as Children's Miracle
Network is an excellent incentive for sticking to your New Year's
resolution!
To sign up just go to www.dropthedrink.org the
official portal of the month-long campaign.
All you need to do is send your customised pledge page to your
friends and family and ask them to sponsor you, or even join you!.
You can also stay up-to-date with the campaign blog, download
campaign materials and press releases or follow the campaign via
