Successes
Naomi House
Well done to
all our members who helped raise a magnificent £2,200 for Naomi
House Children’s Hospice. Sonia Price, Isle of Wight
fundraiser for Naomi House, received the cheque and said “The
Hospice relies on groups such as ourselves, as the hospice gets
very little funding, and they are thrilled at the size of the
cheque”.
Chale Show and St Helen’s Carnival
These two events took place in August 2008,
raising over £900 for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air
Ambulance. This was a magnificent effort as during the
weekend we were bombarded with gale force winds, frequent
torrential showers and had to hold on to our gazebo!
Family Picnic
This took place at Robin Hill on 15 June, a great day out
for all the family, the sun shone all day and all members of the
family found plenty to see and do.
But the really great thing was that
over 50 members joined together for this wonderful day out.
Brading Day - 6 July 2008
This was the first fund raiser of the year for
our main charity, The Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
Unfortunately it was a wash out as it rained all day, so was
therefore cancelled.
