Welcome to Members in London & Southern England
Welcome to all new members, we as an
organisation need an influx of younger active members
A visit to your local branch meeting is a
first step towards getting involved.
Many of our officers have served loyally for
many years but to keep forestry going into the 21st
Century, we need active participants.
You will find a warm welcome if you take part
in the Branch activities.
We have a democratic organisation by which
anyone can progress from Branch to Regional Council to
International status, there are no obstructions to getting to
the top, just hard work.
The Regional Council oversees the activities
of the Branches putting on events and has its various
sections, i.e. Ladies, Motoring, Camping, Quizes, Walkabouts, Days
out, Holidays at Home and Abroad.
We also raise money for various Charities.
Please come and meet us at a social event,
Branch meetings a Charity event just give it a try you may be
pleasantly surprised.
This is your Forestry organisation and at the
moment great strides are being taken in regard to Satellite
Branches, there are a lot of new exciting things taking
place, come and find out more.
The UK is divided into four regions,
London and Southern, West of England and Wales, Central and
Northern and Scotland.
Each Area has its Regional Council who run
friendly competitions including Foil collecting, Stamp collecting
and which area has the best Branch, I’m pleased to say that our
region won all three in September 2009.
Hope to see you soon!
