Successes
Charity Walk and Sunday Lunch
On 13 April, 18 of us took part in a charity walk raising
£320 for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and finished with a
Sunday lunch. We walked from Higher Bockhampton via the River
Frome Valley to Lower Burton where we ended for Lunch at the Sun
Inn, with the support team and other members. As always at
these events it's the friendly conversations that take precedence
over the walking and the journey is completed before you know.
Installation Dinner & Dance
The Installation
of Officers for 2008/9 and the presentation of a charity cheque for
£2,000 to CLIC Sargent, took place at a Buffet Dinner and Dance at
the Riviera Hotel, Bowleaze Cove, Weymouth on 9 February 2008.
The Music for the evening was by that
outstanding keyboard 
musican
Gordon Bennet who always provides whatever music is wanted and
always able to play to our requirements.
As always the catering staff of the Riviera
Hotel did us proud by putting on another splendid spread.
£142 was raised for Dorset and Somerset Air
Ambulance. An enjoyable evening was had by all who attended.
