Successes
Charity 2008

We have had some very successful events this year. These
included a charity evening, a charity lunch and a Sunday lunch plus
three collections at Supermarkets, which has raised nearly £2000 so
far for Honeypot.
Charity 2007
The money we raised for
Honeypot registered charity number 1011672 during 2007 was used to
take 6 boys and 6 girls between the ages of 6 and 10 on a first
time respite break from the 16th – 19th
February 2008 at Honeypot House in the New Forest. The
children had a visit to the Honeypot Play Bus, which involved a
treasure hunt, a day visit to Paultons Park.
Forest Schools visited for the day, which
enabled the children to learn all about outdoors and camping with
them. An Ambassador of Honeypot also visited and they were
able to learn how to play cricket and other outdoor
activities. An evening of DVD’s was held plus dressing up and
just chill out time.
A feed back is that some of the children have
not stopped smiling – asking when they can come back
again. One child has talked more about Honeypot than
they have ever heard him speak before. Thank you for giving
them their childhood back even if it was only for a few days.
We must thank everyone who contributed through
the fund raising either by buying a raffle ticket or supporting our
charity events or even putting money into a collecting
tin. Our grateful thanks must go to those members who
stood outside supermarkets with tins or collecting door to door
with the sleigh.
