Welcome to Members in Central and Northern England
Members,
Thank you for turning to
your Regional web page where you can find events that we
organise around our whole Region - roughly a line from the Wash up
to the Scottish Borders.
Our Golf, Snooker and Flat Green Bowling competitions have
already taken place, but we still have our Crown Green Bowling
competition to come in September - please contact us if you would
like to enter a team. We also have a Charity Nun Run,
Abseils and a choice of Community Events throughout our Region.
Our main event this year will be our Regional Assembly on 11th
October where our Delegates elected from our Branches will receive
reports on a wide range of subjects and elect their new Regional
Council for the period 2008/12. Yes, a four year term. This
event is at Warwick Conference Centre.
During the evening of 10th October we have a Charity Race Night
planned and on the Saturday night we hold our Regional Ball with
close to 400 attending - a four course banquet including
entertainment, which this year is in the theme of a Country &
Western night. No denims or casuals please, but do come
wearing your smart western accessories, I will be.
We are already half way through 2008 and hasn't it gone
quick. If you have holidays coming up soon, I hope the
weather stays good for you and hope to see you at a function in the
near future.
