The Cash for Kids Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

Sunday 11 April 2010

Three PeaksThe Challenge will be led by experienced instructors who will provide full safety support for the event, two water stops and insurance. Supported by Foresters and Facilitated by Adventure Challenge Events.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk is a very demanding but rewarding walk, which takes in the summits of Pen-y-ghent (694 metres) Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres) all in one circular route of approximately 25 miles – all in aid of Cash for Kids, Radio Aire, Leeds.

Leaving early from the café at Horton-in-Ribblesdale, walkers have to complete the challenge in less than 12 hours, at which point you can become a member of the "Three Peaks of Yorkshire Club".

Since the charity was registered and launched in May 2007 they’ve been busy raising money and helping thousands of local children. With your help we want to help to improve the lives of even more sick, disabled and underprivileged children in West Yorkshire.

Transport - Challengers are responsible for their own travel to and from the starting point (which is at the car park café in Horton-in-Ribblesdale.) Foresters may be able to help with travel costs for Foresters ACTIV8 members taking part - please contact Emily.

To register your interest and for more information, please contact Emily emily.loveday@foresters.co.uk  or telephone 01453 544277 or mobile 07775 646233.
