The Cash for Kids Yorkshire Three Peaks
Challenge
Sunday 11 April 2010
The Challenge will be led by experienced instructors who
will provide full safety support for the event, two water stops and
insurance. Supported by Foresters and Facilitated by Adventure
Challenge Events.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk is a very
demanding but rewarding walk, which takes in the summits of
Pen-y-ghent (694 metres) Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough
(723 metres) all in one circular route of approximately 25 miles –
all in aid of Cash for Kids, Radio Aire, Leeds.
Leaving early from the café at Horton-in-Ribblesdale,
walkers have to complete the challenge in less than 12 hours, at
which point you can become a member of the "Three Peaks of
Yorkshire Club".
Since the charity was registered and launched in May 2007 they’ve
been busy raising money and helping thousands of local children.
With your help we want to help to improve the lives of even more
sick, disabled and underprivileged children in West
Yorkshire.
Transport - Challengers are responsible for their own travel to and
from the starting point (which is at the car park café in
Horton-in-Ribblesdale.) Foresters may be able to help with travel
costs for Foresters ACTIV8 members taking part - please contact
Emily.

Sunday 11th July
2010
Foresters is pleased to be the Silver Sponsor of The
Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID) British 10K Team
for 2010.
FSID is the UK’s cot death charity, and the only baby charity

spreading evidence-based safe infant care messages, providing
support to families, and working with local forensic and medical
professionals to improve investigations when a baby dies.
FSID is the official charity for the 2010 British 10K London
Race, taking place on July 11 through the heart of London. The
charity is aiming to have 1,000 runners taking to the streets and
raising money for FSID.
You can help them to give all babies the chance of a lifetime by
joining their British 10K team - Foresters will pay your entry fee
for the event and may also be able to help with reasonable
