What if I change my mind?

blue bullet point  Once we have checked your application and Government voucher we will issue you with your Plan Document and a notice of your right to cancel.

blue bullet point  You then have 30 days from receipt of this notice in which you can change your mind about taking out this Plan and have your Voucher returned to you.

blue bullet point  Under HM Revenue and Customs rules we can only open a Plan once this cancellation period has expired. Any subscriptions received for your child will be held in a non-interest bearing account until your child’s Plan is opened.

What law is the plan subject to?

blue bullet point  All Forester Life plans are subject to the law of England and Wales.

blue bullet point  We will always communicate with you using the English Language.

What if I am unhappy with the service I receive?

blue bullet point  We take the concerns of our Planholders very seriously. If at anytime you do have any comments or wish to make a complaint, please write to the Customer Relations Officer at Foresters, Foresters House, Cromwell Avenue, Bromley, Kent, BR2 9BF.

blue bullet point  In the unlikely event that your complaint cannot be resolved to your satisfaction, you can write to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), South Quay Plaza, 183 Marsh Wall, London, E14 9SR (telephone 0845 080 1800). Making a complaint will not prejudice your right to take legal action.

Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?

blue bullet point  Yes. This means that you may be entitled to compensation from the FSCS in the event that we cannot meet our obligations.

blue bullet point  Compensation depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim but most types of investment business are covered for 100% of the first £30,000 and 90% of the next £20,000 so the maximum compensation is £48,000.
