John Cowan
Non-Executive Director
John was
appointed as non-executive to Foresters UK Boards of Life, Health
and Europe in November 2006.
He brings close to 40 years experience of financial services having
joined Scottish Amicable in 1969 becoming Sales & Marketing
Director in 1992. John then led the sales teams at Prudential after
his appointment as Group Sales Director in 1997.
In 2002 he joined National Australia Bank in London to lead a
start-up investment business.
He has been a regular contributor to the financial trade press and
for a number of years a Director of the industry trade body IFA
Promotions.
John was born in Glasgow and now lives in London and has a keen
interest in sports and the arts and he is a collector of
modern first edition fiction.
Currently he is assisting the charity Breast Cancer Campaign with
ideas to raise funds within financial services.
